Women have been actively protesting against the formal cancellation of the three contentious farm laws. And the repeal by the Government is a major victory.
The apology by the Supremo could spread cheer among a few but it has not made the farmers leave the borders. They are continuing the protest while demanding for a law on minimum support prices and urging the police to withdraw cases filed against farmers over the last year.
The official withdrawal of the three farm laws will take place at the parliament's Winter Session.
